A frenzied attacker punched a policewoman “repeatedly” in the face with no provocation, a court heard on Friday. Kadeer Hussain, who also assaulted the female police officer’s colleague, was jailed for two years at Birmingham Crown Court following the savage attack.
Hussain, 38, had previously been found guilty following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court of two charges of assault. The court heard how the two officers responded to a call to an incident on a street in Birmingham’s Handsworth district where the defendant lived.
