A Ryanair plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a mum-to-be went into labour at 30 weeks. Lauren McLean, 28, was flying back from a Tenerife to Birmingham when an hour into the flight she felt like she needed to push.
An announcement asking for help was answered by a complete stranger - midwife Angela Chamberlain who was also returning home from her holiday.
She became Lauren's saviour, helping her avoid giving birth until the flight was diverted to Faro in Portugal and she would have access to a hospital, reports Birmingham Live.
As Lauren lay on the floor of the plane, Angela took her weight as the craft landed to avoid adding to her discomfort. Little Oscar Jacob Wall was born only a few minutes later, weighing 3lb 7oz.
