Queen and Prince Philip off to 'Balmoral bubble' as part of coronavirus safety plan

The Queen will take her annual summer holiday to Balmoral earlier than normal, with Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle set to re-open to the public, according to reports.

Alongside Prince Philip, Her Majesty will take the 500-mile trip to the royal estate after isolating at Windsor for the past four months together.

Other members of the royal family are also set to take the trip, but will be staying in separate buildings to the 94-year-old monarch, to keep her safe from coronavirus, reports the Sunday Times.
