The Queen will reportedly tell the nation that “together” the coronavirus pandemic can be beaten. The rallying cry is to be delivered on Sunday as the monarch addresses the country from her Windsor Castle home.
In her first televised address amid the global health crisis, she is expected to say “we are in this together – and we will all get through it together, too”, the Daily Mail reports.
It will be just the fifth time she has delivered this type of recorded message in her 68-year-reign. The previous addresses have been on the Gulf War in 1991, following the deaths of Princess Diana and the Queen Mother in 1997 and 2002, and at the end of her Diamond Jubilee Weekend in 2012.
