Police have confirmed the terror attack in Reading was not associated in any way with the Black Lives Matter protest in the park earlier that day.
Initially police and the government had said the incident which has left three people dead and three others seriously injured did not appear to be terrorism and they were keeping an open mind as to the motive.
But today the attack at Forbury Gardens last night has been declared a terrorist incident. A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
The head of counter terrorism policing, Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, has said there is nothing to suggest anyone else was involved in the Reading attack and police are not currently seeking
