NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday sought response from the Jammu and Kashmir administration, within a week, on a plea demanding restoration of 4G services in the Union Territory amid rising cases of covid-19.
The apex court bench, comprising Justices NV Ramana, R Subhash Reddy and BR Gavai, issued a notice on a public interest litigation filed by Foundation for Media Professionals.
The plea said the restriction is unreasonable especially at a time when there is a global pandemic and nationwide lockdown. Doctors and patients are unable to access latest information, advisories, and guidelines, it claimed.
