Scots DIY stores and garden centres still open during lockdown

With the nation stuck at home during lockdown, many people have turned to DIY and gardening. Hardware stores were named as essential retailers by the Government last month but many were shut at first.However, a number of DIY and gardening centres have started to slowly reopen to shoppers.

B&Q, Homebase and Wilko are among those opening their doors again during lockdown. We reported that shoppers flocked to the B&Q in both Paisley and Aberdeen when they first reopened.DIY fans could be seen queuing two metres for hours apart in car parks, as staff in high-vis jackets limited the number of people entering the store.
