Scots nursery forced to close after child tests positive for coronavirus

Covid-19. The youngster at Newburgh Primary School and Nursery is now self isolating at home with other relatives for 14 days.

NHS Fife confirmed that while the nursery was closed for deep cleaning, the rest of the school remained open for older children.

Pupils who came into contact with the confirmed case have already been informed by test and trace teams and are also isolating for two weeks.

The closure of the nursery was confirmed to the Daily Record. Shelagh Mclean, Fife Council’s head of education and children’s services, said: “We are following public health advice and talking with our colleagues in NHS Fife about actions required regarding Covid-19.“With their direction, we are taking all appropriate actions, including that relating.
