A Scottish football club has become the first in the country to install cameras that will take fans' temperatures. Hamilton Academical FC introduced the measure at New Douglas Park this week.
Installation firm, Leisure Connect Ltd released a statement on the ground breaking move amid the corornavirus pandemic. A representative from Leisure Connect Ltd said: "Today we installed a Thermal Camera Surveillance System - the First in Scottish Football at Hamilton Academical FC in association with our partners at @IndigoUnifiedUK." Thermal cameras detect differences in the radiation emitted by an object or person. It's hoped the surveillance system will help reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19.
