Scottish Government announce 8 coronavirus deaths overnight in Scotland amid 488 new cases

The latest figures mean that, since the start of the pandemic, 7,552 people have lost their lives to coronavirus in Scotland.The statistics also reveal a total of 367 people are being treated in hospital, with 31 in ICU.2,085,525 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 207,028 have received their second dose.

It comes as football fans have been warned they will be locked up if they show up at tomorrow’s Old Firm clash, following a surge in cases among police officers linked to the Rangers title celebrations..
