Six people arrested for assaulting Ragama medical faculty students

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said 6 people were arrested for their involvement in assaulting a group of students from the Ragama Medical Faculty.Four students of the Ragama Medical Faculty were injured following an assault by an outside group early on Wednesday (2).Sri Lanka Police said three students were admitted to the Ragama Hospital and another was admitted to the Negombo Hospital.The injured were all students who were at the Men’s Dormitory of the Ragama University and were 4th-year students.According to the students, 15 people arrived in two vehicles and carried out an assault.Sri Lanka Police said one person was arrested and one vehicle was seized.University students who were witnesses to the assault told News 1st that an Identity Card noting ‘Personal Staff of MP Arundhika Fernando’ fell off one of the attackers. .
