A smart schoolgirl saved her dad's life by asking Alexa for help when he collapsed at home. Bree Joseph calmly told the Amazon virtual assistant that her father Gilbert was having chest pains and trouble breathing.
Alexa diagnosed a heart attack and Bree knew he needed emergency help. The 10-year-old used Alexa again to call her mum Laura who had nipped to nearby shops.
School nurse Laura, 38, told her daughter not to 'be so daft' when she told her mum that Gilbert was having a heart attack. Laura said: "But when I got home I could see that Alexa's diagnosis was right." Postman Gilbert, 46, was rushed to hospital where doctors discovered a tear in his aorta, the main artery which takes blood from the heart.
