Police in Spain have apprehended a Tyrannosaurus Rex that was found to be breaching a Covid-19 quarantine. The Spanish government ordered an unprecedented lockdown of the country at the weekend in order to halt the spread of the virus.

Police in the southeastern region of Murcia took to social media to remind citizens that they cannot evade the lockdown rules by showing up in streets wearing fancy dress costumes.

Murcia’s police lighthearted tweet was accompanied by a bizarre video showing a man dressed as a dinosaur waddling away after dumping a bag inside a trash bin.

In the tweet they said that while walking pets is allowed - once it is over a short time frame - people in T-Rex costumes are not included in this loophole.
