Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan has slammed Sam Smith and called them an “attention seeker” and demanded they should “get a grip” after Sam posted a photo crying on Instagram.The Good Morning Britain host, 54, hit out at the singer, 27, after they shared a joke post of themselves going through the stages of a “quarantine meltdown” to their 14.8million followers.

Sam shared three photos of them going through the stages, the first of which shows Sam looking fed up while sitting on a doorstep.

The second shows Sam sitting in the same place with their hand on their forehead looking upset and the third shows Sam appearing to break down in tears.
