Saffron Barker has shared her praise for dedicated staff members of the NHS who saved her from going deaf as a child. The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 19, has opened up on her battle with health and has detailed her struggle with being deaf in one ear as a child, and hard of hearing in the other.

YouTube sensation Saffron endured years of uncertainty after doctors discovered her deafness, and underwent thirteen gruelling operations to help with her loss of hearing.

The star - who is helping to raise money for the NHS charity on her during the coronavirus pandemic - endured multiple invasive procedures as a child over the space of four years.
