CDC is responding to an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. The outbreak first started in Wuhan, China, but cases have been identified in a growing number of other locations internationally, including the United States.

This map includes states and territories with one or more laboratories that have successfully verified and are currently using COVID-19 diagnostic tests.

As of the evening of March 23, the total number of public health laboratories that have completed verification and are offering testing is 91.

This includes one or more PHL in 50 states plus DC, Guam and Puerto Rico. This list is provided by the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL)external icon.
