COVID-19 vaccine.This group of people is considered severely immunocompromised, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said Monday.“As a result of their medical condition, people who are immune-compromised have a reduced capacity to respond effectively to any vaccine,” she said.“To these people, a third dose is needed to get that protection that the rest of us get from the regular dose schedule.”There are 15,000 people eligible to receive a third dose.
They will receive notification. This will include those who have received solid organ transplants, people being treated for some cancers and those using b-cell depleting agents.
