Thousands of Scot veterans mark Remembrance Sunday on their doorstep due to Covid-19

Covid-19. Thousands of veterans, serving military personnel and members of the public took to their doorsteps to observe the two-minute silence in a moving tribute to the fallen.

It comes after the pandemic axed usual commemorations to the war fallen as Scots to stayed home to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Bomber Command veteran Alastair Lamb, 95, observed the two-minute silence at 11am on Remembrance Sunday from his doorstep at his home in Stirling.Meanwhile Scots Second World War veteran Cathy Drummond, who served in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force stood outside her home to pay respects.Veteran Ronnie Wilson, who served with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders in Korea and Aden was also spotted on his doorstep.Nicola Sturgeon has.
