A violent thug who battered his girlfriend faces a year in prison after spitting at a police officer and saying he had coronavirus.
Philip Booth, aged 30, was spoken to by police after they received reports of a domestic incident in Bolton. His partner told officers she had been kicked twice to the leg and punched four times to the head by him.
She has since refused to support the prosecution, Manchester Magistrates Court heard. After officers arrived on March 21st of this year, they attempted to intervene but Booth, of Bolton, spat at one officer and said he had Covid-19.
