A new intensive care unit dedicated to treating coronavirus patients has been built in record time in Milan's San Raffaele hospital.
A timelapse video shared by the hospital shows the eight-day construction of the new ward. It was built thanks to donations through a fund raising campaign on gofundme.com launched by Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni and her husband rapper Fedez, who both live in Milan.
Over 200,000 people in Italy and abroad donated money to the construction. The unit, which has 14 beds, is set to begin admitting patients immediately.
