Sir Tom Jones is urging fans to stay at home during the health crisis as he recalls being isolated for two years during a childhood battle with tuberculosis.
While making an appearance on the global charity concert One World: Together At Home, he gave a special message before beginning his performance.
Showing his appreciation for frontline staff, the 79-year-old took a trip down memory lane as he spoke about isolating in his childhood home in Wales for two years.
He said: ‘Hi everybody, I’ve lived a long time. I’ve seen a lot of things and I’ve experienced a lot of things, like this house for instance… where I was born and brought up. ‘I was isolated there for two years with tuberculosis and I thought that was bad, then.
