An intensive care consultant has spoken out about the coronavirus vaccine and how it works on a landmark day as the first patients in the world are treated.
Dr David Hepburn, an intensive care consultant at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport who caught Covid-19 himself, has discussed worries around the vaccine and why it is completely safe to take.
Margaret Keenan, 90, was the first person to ever receive a Covid-19 vaccine, as apart of the biggest vaccination programme in NHS history this morning.
She was among up to a 100 people set up to have the jab, which arrived in an insulated container only minutes before the injection.
