Steven Bergwijn insists he is “making progress” after suffering an ankle injury in Tottenham’s 1-1 draw away at Burnley earlier this month.
The Dutchman, who sealed a £27m move to Spurs from PSV Eindhoven in January, was caught by a late tackle at Turf Moor and played through the pain barrier until the final whistle.
Yet after leaving the ground in a protective boot, it was later confirmed by the club that he had sprained his left ankle.
