President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence ( Official White House photo by D. Myles Sanders ) WASHINGTON - President Donald Trump on Sunday approved a Disaster Declaration in Delaware, which will provide the state with federal assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.

Delaware now joins Pennsylvania and New Jersey in receiving federal funding for eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for emergency measures.

As part of the declaration, FEMA Administrator Pete Gaynor named Homeland Security official MaryAnn Tierney as the Federal Coordinating Officer.
