Survivors of the coronavirus are reporting long-term health problems. President Trump has ordered flags be lowered to half-staff for the entirety of the Memorial Day weekend to honor not only military members who have made the ultimate sacrifice, but to those who have lost their lives in the coronavirus pandemic. "I will be lowering the flags on all Federal Buildings and National Monuments to half-staff over the next three days in memory of the Americans we have lost to the CoronaVirus....," the president tweeted Thursday.
More than 94,000 Americans have died due to COVID-19, according to recent data from Johns Hopkins University. Nearly 1,6 million people in the United States have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
