A GP has warned seriously ill patients are staying away rom hospital over fears they'll contract coronavirus after two children died.
The youngsters both both passed away after being taken to hospital with conditions unrelated to the pandemic but concerns have emerged their admission was delayed because of the killer bug.
Dr Manpinder Sahota, a GP based in Gravesend, Kent, says a paediatric consultant feared they may have been brought in for treatment later than they otherwise would have been because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The children both died at the Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford - their ages and what they were suffering from are not known at this stage.
