UK health regulators are set to approve the Moderna coronavirus vaccine and are said to be considering granting emergency use authorisation as soon as today.
The UK government has struck deals for seven million doses of the Moderna jab from the US. It will be the third coronavirus vaccine to be approved by the UK, after the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine.
The two-dose Moderna vaccine has already been rolled out in the United States and Canada. And it could soon be rolled out in the UK according to Bloomberg News, citing people familiar with the matter.
