The Kenyan government and the UN Country Team are collaborating to address the country’s rising number of premature deaths from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), including heart diseases, cancers, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases, scaling up solutions based on national leadership, global perspectives and local insights.The government and the UN Country Team are receiving support this week from the United Nations Interagency Task Force for the Prevention and Control of NCDs, comprising WHO, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and the World Bank, to help build and share solutions in three main areas:Setting national targets for NCDs.Finalizing the work on the development of a national action plan to reduce exposure of Kenyans to risk factors
