COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Department of Agrarian Services Development says that they will begin providing urea fertilizer to farmers for the Maha season from next month.The Commissioner General of the Department of Agrarian Services Development E.H.M.L Abeyratne said that the remaining stock of urea obtained under Indian loan assistance will be distributed to the farmers.In the first phase, 20 kg of urea fertilizer is to be given per hectare.The Commissioner General of the Department of Agrarian Services Development noted that fertilizers will be provided to farmers in Kurunegala, Ampara, Batticaloa, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, and Jaffna districts..
