Vancouver’s 4/20 event goes digital amid coronavirus pandemic

Thousands of people will not be gathering at Sunset Beach in Vancouver Monday for the annual 4/20 event. Organizers say the event is going digital this year as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

Participants will be able to tune in to  Pot TV and Cannabis Life Network for the event, which gets underway at 11:50 a.m. PT.

Last year’s event at Sunset Beach drew 150,000 people. Amid the pandemic, major public events across the province are faced with tough questions about whether to postpone, cancel or go ahead with their plans.
