Ventilators 'may do more harm than good' in coronavirus fight, doctors claim

Ventilators may injure the lungs of patients fighting against coronavirus and invasive ventilation may not be a solution for the deadly illness, multiple doctors have claimed.

More than 2.2million people have now contracted Covid-19 worldwide, with over 156,000 people tragically losing their battle against it.

Many of those to contract the disease and need hospital treatment have been placed on ventilators, and the NHS currently has 5,000 ventilators but it needs “many times more than that”.

But now, a new argument suggests they may not be the answer to solving the problems the pandemic is presenting in patients. New York casualty doctor Cameron Kyle-Sidell appeared in a YouTube video in which he claims ventilators are not being used
