A Cork woman who received a stem cell transplant last year as part of her treatment for cancer has said it is frightening and frustrating to see people failing to observe social distancing measures.
As a result of the transplant, Shannon Joyce is one of many younger people who fall into vulnerable categories and who have been advised to cocoon in their homes.
Speaking on RTÉ's Today with Sean O'Rourke, Ms Joyce, from Youghal, said she spent 23 days in isolation in St James's Hospital in Dublin last year after receiving the transplant.
