The health secretary was called to the House of Commons this morning to answer questions regarding former aide Dominic Cumming’s evidence on the government’s handling of the pandemic.
Boris Johnson’s former aide accused Mr Hancock of repeatedly lying, being disastrously incompetent and claimed he should have been fired on multiple occasions during the course of the pandemic.
Mr Hancock said the “unsubstantiated” attacks on him by Mr Cummings are “not true”. The health secretary will likely be questioned further on the allegations as he faces journalists at today's briefing,
