Scottish Parliament later today on the state of the Covid pandemic across the country. It comes as cases of the deadly virus continue to surge following the relaxation of lockdown restrictions and kids returning to school following the summer break.
The First Minister will address Holyrood for the first time on the pandemic since Scotland moved out of the levels system on August 9.
Following the statement members of the parliament will get to quiz the SNP leader on her handling of the current situation. The latest figures for Scotland showed that 6,029 new cases had been identified in the last 24 hours.
There were a total of seven deaths in the same time period.It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive.
