From Estée Lauder to Origins, the latest foundations to hit shelves aren't just glow-imparting but good for your skin Much like unboxing new shoes, cracking open a foundation is joyous (and we need a bit of cheer right now…).
It’s cheaper than serum and makes an instant impact. Recently, though, I’ve been using solely concealer – a full face of base feels too covered-up when freckles, wrinkles and all manner of so-called imperfections are now cool.
The result is also more youthful, as real skin has a radiance that’s hard to replicate with man-made pigment. The make-up artists who say this are often a decade younger than me, which leaves some room for cynicism, but there’s nothing like a hands-on demo to put me in my place.
