Jeremy Corbyn's replacement as Labour leader will be announced today with whoever wins inheriting a party divided, defeated and sidelined by the coronavirus crisis.
Labour members have spent months deciding between Rebecca Long-Bailey, Lisa Nandy and Sir Keir Starmer - with the former Brexit Secretary being the favourite to win the contest today.
But even before the Covid-19 crisis, Labour risked becoming a bit player in British politics. Mr Corbyn had led the party to its biggest defeat since the 1930s and it was gripped by fierce internal splits on Brexit, the party's handling of anti-Semitism and the if the party would continue its shift ever leftward.
