PHILADELPHIA - If the snow on your lawn is starting to look a little spotty from consecutive days of sunshine following the nor'easter, an incoming weekend storm could drop up to six inches of fresh powder.The National Weather Service on Friday issued a preemptive Winter Storm Watch for most of the region ahead of an impending Sunday snowstorm.
Philadelphia and areas immediately surrounding the city are under the watch beginning Saturday night. The advisory also covers central to southern New Jersey and most of Delaware.
The latest models show snowfall engulfing the region around 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Light snow is expected for areas to the north and west, while heavier snowfall is forecasted for parts of southern New Jersey.
