Woolworths has announced two huge changes coming to stores across Australia which will help keep staff and shoppers healthy during the coronavirus pandemic.

One change will start in most stores from today. In an email to Woolworth shoppers, CEO Brad Banducci revealed that all stores will be fitted with free hand sanitising units for customers to use as they enter the store and start their shop.

He also announced that self- service assisted checkouts will soon be fitted with clear screens to further protect customers.

Protective screens will be placed at self-assisted checkouts. These clear screens, similar to those installed at staffed checkouts, will be installed in between self-serve checkouts.
