HAMILTON, N.J. - One person is dead and over a dozen are injured after a van overturned Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 295 in Mercer County.

New Jersey State Police said an Econoline van loaded with passengers overturned on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 60 sometime around 3:30 p.m. NEW JERSEY HEADLINESSeveral people were ejected from the van during the crash, according to police.

Seven people were brought to Helen Fuld Medical Center in Trenton and six were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton, police said.

Authorities did not provide information on the victims ages or their conditions. The crash and subsequent investigation caused rush hour traffic to funnel into one lane.
