2 teens arrested after alleged assault aboard Market-Frankford line SEPTA train, police say

PHILADELPHIA - Two teens were arrested on Tuesday night after police say they both punched a woman during a verbal argument aboard a Market-Frankford Line SEPTA train.

Investigators say the 27-year-old victim and the two teens boarded the train at 15th Street Station just before 7 p.m. MORE HEADLINES:When the train lurched forward near 5th Street, police say the teens bumped into the victim and she pushed them which lead to a verbal altercation.

The exchange turned violent near 2nd Street when police say the teenage boy and girl each hit the victim at least one time. The woman suffered a cut lip and scratched eye during the alleged assault that also broke her glasses, according to police.The teens were both arrested shortly after the.
