CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Four people who were present during the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, tested positive for COVID-19, according to a release by Mecklenburg County officials.
The individuals who tested positive for the virus included two attendees and two support staff of the event. According to county officials, the people who tested positive for the coronavirus were immediately issued instructions to isolate and anyone known to have been in contact with them was notified and issued quarantine instructions by the Mecklenburg County Public Health department.
Among people who attended the convention in Charlotte, 792 coronavirus tests were administered and conducted, officials said.
