Aldi has introduced a voucher scheme to make it easier for vulnerable people or those self-isolating to get food. The vouchers, which anyone can buy, are a cashless way to pay for weekly groceries and can be given to a friend or family member to shop on behalf of someone.
They are are available to buy on the supermarket's new website and can be posted to any address in the UK. This means they can be sent to volunteers, friends or family members who can go to the shops for someone who is unable to go or must stay indoors.Vouchers are available to buy in £5 or £10 with no additional cost for postage. This follows a number of initiatives from the supermarket aimed at helping the elderly and vulnerable.Aldi donated £250,000 to Age UK in March
