And supermarkets have made changes to their regulations too. As stockpilers left shelves empty at the start of the health crisis, stores were forced to put limits on the number of items customers could checkout.
But weeks into lockdown, the likes of Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Tesco have eased these restrictions. Here’s all you need to know about the change to supermarket rules, according to MyLondon.
As availability has improved Tesco has removed the three item limit per customer on most products. Customers are still restricted to buying no more than three of these essentials: toilet rolls
