Countries hit hard by the coronavirus crisis are offering to pay travellers to visit them once the pandemic is over in order to boost their economy.
Many popular hotspots have seen the number of visitors each month decline to zero as flights have been grounded and borders closed globally.
Since 17 March, Brits have been advised against all non-essential travel and from June 8, there will be a mandatory 14-day quarantine for any travellers returning home.
Currently the FCO has extended the advice for an “indefinite” period, so no one knows yet when normal travel will resume. But after the coronavirus crisis subsides, there will be a time when foreign travel will resume.
