A reported walkout of staff at Amazon’s giant Darlington warehouse has been denied by the online retail giant. Several contract staff at the fulfilment Centre in Darlington, County Durham, have described conditions at the warehouse as “'unacceptable and unsafe,” in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Daily Mail.
The reported walk-out was prompted by a claimed lack of protective equipment for staff, and allegations that contract staff were not being allowed to observe government 'two metre social distancing' guidelines because that they were routinely crammed into the canteen area during break times.
