A couple have been spotted appearing to have sex on Brighton beach in broad daylight, despite the coronavirus lockdown. The pair were photographed failing to maintain social distancing days after another couple were fined for having a barbecue on the same beach.

The picture, taken at 7.50am on Thursday morning, captures the pair on the seafront near the Brighton Centre in an apparent moment of lockdown lust.

Brighton and Hove City Council said: "It's an unfortunate picture and we would think the people involved will be highly embarrassed if their friends and families are able to recognise them. "It certainly serves as a reminder to us all that you never know when someone is watching you." One person can be seen on top of their partner
