America Ferrera struggled with extreme anxiety ahead of giving birth to her daughter during the coronavirus pandemic. The Superstore star welcomed baby girl Lucia on 4 May – a sister for her and husband Ryan Piers Williams’s 23-month-old son Sebastian.
But the experience of giving birth was vastly different for America this time around due to the measures put in place during the Covid-19 crisis.
Opening up as part of a chat with Katie Lowes for her podcast Katie’s Crib, the actress explained: “There’s the anxiety about the virus itself, which is like you don’t want to get sick, you don’t want your children to get sick, you don’t want your newborn baby to get sick.
