Andy Murray was “getting closer” to a comeback before the coronavirus forced the shutdown of tennis, his coach has claimed.
The former world No.1 missed the Australian Open with the pelvic injury which ended his season at the Davis Cup last November.
The Scot had targeted a return to action at the Miami Open last month but the cancellation of Wimbledon now means there will be no tournaments until at least July 13.
Jamie Delgado, who revealed Murray had started training on clay before the shutdown, said: “We were discussing his comeback.
