Another 14,000 coronavirus cases confirmed as UK death toll rises by 76

The number of deaths has also increased by 76 - up by 57 on Monday's figure of 19.The government said that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 14,542 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK - up by 1,948 on Monday.This takes the overall number of cases confirmed to 530,113.A further 76 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday.This brings the UK total to 42,445.Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 57,600 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.Figures also reveal that there are now 393 patients on ventilation - up by five - and a total.
