When will children get the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine? More than 67% of people in the U.S. ages 12 and over are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Some older people and people with compromised immune systems or otherwise at higher risk have begun to receive booster shots as well.
Vaccination among children ages 5 to 11 could start within a week if the CDC signs off and issues guidance on use of the vaccine in children next week.
The children will be given two shots three weeks apart, the same schedule as adults and adolescents, although each shot will contain one-third of the dosage.
